Ruth Jordan nee: McCutcheon

It is impossible to think about my happy childhood memories without including the Smythes, Jewsons and Beaumonts. We spent many wonderful summers up at Drag Lake and I have always treasured those times. Even now, after all these years, I can still clearly imagine the sound of Mrs. Smythe's and my mother's laughter and it invariably brings a smile to my face. There were so many good times shared between our families and I've often thought of all of you over the years. When I heard this sad news from my sister, Wilma, this morning, I wanted to send my deepest condolences to Rob, Patti and Sandra and of course, Mr. Smythe. Perhaps your mom and mine are up in heaven having a great laugh together while reminiscing over old times. They would certainly have lots to talk about. A friend of mine once said, "Slowly, gently, time heals" and I have found this to be true. I hope you are able to find comfort in this thought while grieving your terrible loss. Ruth
