HETHERINGTON, Joan Elizabeth (nee
Godsoe) - Passed away peacefully at
Southlake Regional Health Centre on
Saturday, December 9, 2006 in her 89th
year. Beloved wife of the late Ewart Sim
Hetherington (1986). Loving mother of Peter
and David (Anna) and dear grandmother of
Stephanie, Katrina and Alison. She was
predeceased by her parents Herbert and
Julia (Heckman) Godsoe and brothers
Douglas and Herbert, all of Halifax, N.S. She
was very active in Trinity United Church, and
in particular, the choir. She will be most
remembered for her joy of entertaining
others with her special gift of music. She
also had a great love of art and a fondness
for animals. Special thanks to the wonderful
caregivers at the Newmarket Health Centre.

Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South,
Newmarket on Wednesday, December 13th
from 7-9 p.m. A memorial service will be
held on Thursday, December 14th at 11 a.m.
at Trinity United Church, Main Street South,
Newmarket. In lieu of flowers, donations to
the Trinity United Church Memorial Fund or
the Southlake Regional Health Centre
